Litany of the Infant Jesus ~ Merry Christmas everyone ~

( Litany via Catholic Faith and Morals awesome Catholic site )

Litany of the Infant Jesus

Glory and praise be to Thee, O tender little Jesus.
From the utmost depths of my heart I praise and adore Thee, that for love of me and of all mankind it was Thy will to lie in the manger, and to suffer such great poverty and misery.
I praise and adore Thy tender limbs, and Thy tender hands and feet, and I magnify the inexpressible love which drew Thee forth from the bosom of the Heavenly Father, down to a poor and miserable stable.

Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, hear us.
Christ, graciously hear us.
God the Father of heaven,
Have mercy on us ( repeat after each Litany's verse )

Who with the Father and the Holy Ghost livest and reignest, God, forever and ever. Amen.

That all the world may kneel before Thee,
That we may be zealous to convert all unbelievers,
in the Name of Thy Holy Childhood,
That we may keep our Baptismal vows faithfully,
That we may rejoice to be children of Thy Father in Heaven,
That we may ever honor and love our Father in Heaven,
That we may pray as Christian children, freely and devoutly,
That we may willingly obey Thy Commandments,
That we may inscribe in our hearts the Fourth
Commandment: "Honor thy father and thy Mother,"
That we may grow in wisdom and virtue as we grow in years,
That Thou wilt keep us innocent,
That Thou wilt deliver us from temptation,
That Thou wilt instill in us great love and devotion for Thy Mother, Mary,
That we may never make an unworthy Confession,
That we may receive Holy Communion with sincerity,

We pray Our Father.

Let Us Pray. We pray to Thee, Heavenly Father, Who for the Infant Jesus' sake adopted us as Thy children and as heirs of Heaven, look kindly upon children not of the Faith and let them participate in our unearned and priceless fortune.
We ask this through the Infant Jesus Christ, Thy Son Our Lord, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost forever and ever. R. Amen.

Chaplet of the Immaculate Conception

Adorable Jesus, Whose Divine Heart is ever ready to compassionate the unhappy, have mercy on us, miserable sinners, and grant us the graces we ask through the Immaculate and afflicted heart of Thy most holy Mother and ours, also, to whom Though canst refuse nothing. Amen

On first Bead say:

By thy Immaculate Conception and sacred virginity, O most pure Virgin, Queen of Angels, obtain that our soul and body may be free from all sin.

Hail Mary..(Three times.)

By thy Immaculate Conception and sacred virginity, O most pure Virgin, Queen of Angels, obtain that our soul and body may be free from all sin. (Once)

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us, who have recourse to thee. (Twelve times.)

By thy Immaculate Conception and sacred virginity, O most pure Virgin, Queen of Angels, obtain that our soul and body may be free from all sin. (Once)

St. Joseph, chaste Spouse of the Immaculate Virgin, pray for us, who have recourse to thee, and obtain for us the love of Jesus and Mary.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I give you my heart, my soul and my life.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, assist me in my last agony.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, grant that I may expire in your holy company.

Remember, O most pure and compassionate Virgin Mary, that no one ever had recourse to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy mediation, without obtaining relief. Relying on thy goodness and mercy, we cast ourselves at thy sacred feet, and most humbly supplicate thee, O Mother of the Eternal Word, to adopt us as thy children, and take upon thyself the care of our salvation.
O let it not be said, our dearest Mother, that we have perished at thy sacred feet, where no one ever found aught but mercy, grace and salvation. Amen

PROPER OF THE MASS (nov21bvm.htm)

It is truly meet and just, right and availing unto salvation, that we should at all times and in all places give thanks unto Thee, O holy Lord, Father almighty and everlasting God. That on the Festival of the blessed Virgin Mary, we should praise, bless and proclaim Thee. For she conceived Thine only-begotten Son by the over-shadowing of the Holy Ghost; and losing not the glory of her virginity, gave forth to the world the everlasting light, Jesus Christ our Lord. Through whom the angels praise Thy majesty, the Dominions worship it, and the powers stand in awe. The Heavens and the heavenly Hosts, and the blessed Seraphim join together in celebrating their joy. With these we pray Thee join our voices also, while we say with lowly praise:

Litany of Faith

Lord, have mercy upon me.
Christ, have mercy upon me.
Lord, have mercy upon me.

O God the Father of heaven,
Have mercy on me. *

O God the Son, Redeemer of the world, *
O God the Holy Ghost, *
O Holy Trinity, one God, *
Thou, who being eternal truth, canst not deceive, *
Thou, who being infallible wisdom canst not be deceived, *
Thou, who hast built thy church on an immovable rock, *
Thou, who hast promised continual succor to thy church, *

That thou art the one true God, who rewardeth the good and punishest evil,
I believe firmly, O my God. **

That thou art one in essence and three in person, **
That thy divine Son became man and died for the salvation of the world, **
All that thou hast revealed in Holy Scripture; all that Jesus Christ has taught us in his Holy Gospel; all that the holy Apostles have preached; all that the General Councils have declared truths of faith; all that the Catholic Church orders me to believe, **
All articles of faith, written and unwritten, **
Without any hesitation or doubt; with an entire submission of my mind; with a perfect consent of my will; with an interior and exterior confession, **
On account of Thy supreme majesty; on account of Thy infallible word; on account of thy veracity, and infallibility, **
Even if it becomes for me a cause of persecution; even if I must lose all I possess; even if it costs me my life, **
In union with the lively faith of all the just; in union with the constant faith of all the martyrs; in union with the most perfect faith of the Blessed Virgin Mary, **

Our Father.

Let us pray:

O God, who, in the superabundance of thy goodness, hast called me to the true Catholic faith, give me the grace to persevere, constantly to the end of my life. Cast, too, a look of mercy on the heretics and unbelievers for whom thy divine Son shed his precious blood; enlighten and fortify them by thy supernatural grace, in order that they may acknowledge the true church in which alone men can be saved, and may courageously enter that church, without human fear, temporal motives, and vain subterfuges, and that thus by a true and active confession of faith they may attain everlasting salvation. Amen.

Jesus, Son of God and Messiah in the womb of Mary;
Have mercy on us.

Let us pray.
Jesus, notwithstanding Thy Divine Nature as Son of God, equal and one with the Father, Thou didst deign to become incarnate as the Son of Man, assuming the condition of a pre-born Child in the womb of Thy Holy Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thou, therefore, didst sanctify and elevate every maternal womb for all time and every person, whose life is begun at conception.

Jesus, manifest Thyself in the hearts of Thy people as the Eternal Son of God, Whose earthly life began in the womb of Most Holy Mary. Thou couldst have chosen to commence Thy Messianic mission in another manner; however, Thou didst show Thy love for us by becoming a pre-born Infant in the womb of Thy Holy Mother. Thou didst take on the total human existence from conception to death. Thou didst consent to be carried in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary and then, after birth, saved us by Thy suffering and death on the Cross. From conception to death we live and have our being in Thee.

Jesus, we adore and thank Thee for choosing to become incarnate in the womb of Thy Mother, Mary. We beseech Thee to bless all mothers and intercede with the Holy Spirit and Thy Father, that every infant in the womb receive Thy precious gift of life.

Jesus, conceived in the womb of Mary, grant that Mary's loving mantle overshadow these precious pre-born infants in the wombs of their mothers and assist in their birth. We ask this, Jesus, in Thy name, Who with the Father and Holy Spirit, livest and reignest forever. Amen.

Meditation for Hour of Mercy

Oh Jesus, Your Pierced Heart is the Ocean of infinite Mercy from which Your Blood and Water so generously emanate over us – Your Blood that set us free from our sins and You Water that purifies and enlivens our hearts. You are the open fountain of Salvation in which we desire to submerge ourselves, so that we may be transformed by the redemptive power of Your Mercy.

Jesus, in this image of Your Merciful Heart revealed to Saint Faustina, You have offered us a vessel through which we can come to the fountain of Mercy to receive without limit your abundant graces of conversion, healing and redemption.

Oh Jesus, I trust in You! To You I entrust my entire life, my heart, my fears, my fragilities, my dreams, and all the sufferings of my body as well as the most intimate sufferings of my heart and soul.

I trust in You, oh Divine Mercy! You, Who see my weakness with compassionate eyes; You, Who lift up my misery with the power of Your Love; You, Who give life to my unfruitfulness and Who trust in me in spite of my failings.

In You, I trust! You Who calm the tempests of the soul and the great storms that violently assail the ship of our lives, families, communities, nations and the entire world. In You, Jesus, I entrust the past that in so many ways crushes us; the present that causes much anxiety; and the future that often times we face with anguish.

Oh, Merciful Heart! In your Sacred Wound we hide, finding our refuge and our rest… our everlasting peace. In the unfathomable Ocean of Your Heart, we sinners submerge ourselves today, awaiting with confidence the greatest gift of Your Love for humanity: Your Mercy.Amen

The Little Chaplet of the Five Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ ( by St. Alphonsus Liguori )

I.
O my Lord Jesus Christ, I adore the wound in Thy left foot. I thank Thee for having suffered it for me with so much sorrow and with so much love. I compassionate Thy pain, and that of Thine afflicted Mother. And, by the merit of this sacred wound, I pray Thee to grant me the pardon of my sins, of which I repent with all my heart, because they have offended Thine infinite goodness. O sorrowing Mary, pray to Jesus for me.

Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory, etc.

By all the wounds which Thou didst bear
With so much love and so much pain,
Oh, let a sinner's prayer
Thy mercy, Lord, obtain!

I compassionate Thine afflicted Mother, who alone felt all its pain. And, by the merit of this sacred wound, I pray Thee to bestow upon me the gift of holy love for Thee, that so I may ever love Thee in this life, and in the other, face to face, for all eternity, in Paradise. Pray Daily the Chaplet of Seven Sorrow

We start with an Act of contrition :

O my Lord, Thou who alone art most worthy of my love, behold me standing before Thy Divine Presence all in confusion at the thought of the many grievous injuries I have done Thee.
I ask Thy pardon for them with my whole heart, repenting of them purely for love of Thee, and hating and loathing them above every other evil of this life, when I think of Thy infinite goodness.
As I would rather have died a thousand times than have offended Thee, so now I am most firmly resolved to lose my life rather than offend Thee again.
My crucified Jesus, I firmly purpose to cleanse my soul as soon as possible by Thy most Precious Blood in the Sacrament of Penance.
And thou, most tender Virgin, Mother of Mercy and Refuge of sinners, do thou obtain for me the pardon of sin by virtue of thy bitter pains; whilst praying according to the mind of so many holy Pontiffs in order to obtain the indulgences granted to this thy holy Rosary, I hope thereby to obtain remission of all pains due to my sins. Amen

Make the sign of the cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
